This year’s Best
Financing Tip is actually about Accountability: when local
customers or their friends ask me how to find a good Realtor or
Financial Planner, it’s easy to give my answer from personal
relationships, based on commitments. How personally accountable is
the service provider? I want to use someone so committed to
delivering what they promised that they’ll take a personal loss if
necessary to make it happen. If you don’t ask for personal
commitment, you probably won’t get it.
However, if you or I
don’t know a service provider personally, then we rely on someone
that knows someone, right? We’re starting to receive calls from all
over the country, off our renovated web site:
www.DonChaseMortgages.com When a potential client outside my
personal market area is looking for someone to help with an
important need, I tell them to ask specific acquaintances
specific questions.
Talk to qualified
people that have experience with what you’re trying to accomplish,
or that use the same service you’re looking for. Think through your
contacts for someone you admire or have heard positive things about,
that relies on that service. Do they have a provider beholding to
them because your contact refers good customers? You have a much
better chance of success with a service provider if they’re
accountable to your referral source, and it’s important for that
source to know their referral is important.
Ask very specific
questions: if you take the time to delineate the exact service
they’re going to provide, their apparent competency to provide it,
assessing their cost versus value, you’ll set up their commitment
to you.
Call me if you’re stuck, in trouble, in success, or need a
referral. I want you to enjoy your life, and to have a deep, broad
estate.
